About Us

The people behind the project.

Welcome to Wild Sage Market, a grassroots movement with a bold vision for a cooperative grocery store right in the heart of Green River, WY. Our mission is to bring you a health-focused haven, offering the utmost convenience and access to invigorating, high-quality, clean-conventional, and organic foods and products.

Fueled by a passion for wellness and a dedication to our community, Wild Sage Market emerged when traditional avenues fell short. After approaching numerous natural food retailers, our original members, undeterred, sought guidance from the Food Co-op Initiative (FCI), an organization that has successfully assisted in the establishment of similar stores across the nation.

The response from our community was nothing short of overwhelming, and buoyed by this support, we decided to transform our dream into a tangible reality.

In the face of the questions "If not us, then WHO? If not now, then WHEN?" we are resolved to stop waiting for someone else to meet our community's need for an exceptional grocery store.

It's time for collective action. Let's unite, work together, and craft the store we've been envisioning. Wild Sage Market is not just a grocery store; it's a shared commitment to building something extraordinary for our community. Join us in this exciting journey!

Join us as we redefine the grocery shopping experience – where community, uniqueness, and well-being converge at Wild Sage Market.

I think it’s up to us as a community to create the grocery store that we desire.  If not us, then who?  If not now, then when?  I’m looking forward to having a one-stop shop which offers both locally produced foods and also foods for those trying to make healthier choices or adhere to a special diet. I have happily served on the board since 2018.

I have been serving on the board since 2018. My vision is to have an option for healthy, locally produced food available in our community. Knowledge about healthy options and ease from store to table. Supporting our community financially, as well as in health.

I am serving because I want to see this project go forward sooner rather than later.  I would like to see organic produce, and any other healthy products such as lotions, etc. I have served on the board since 2022 and a looking forward to the future.

I have served on the board since July 2018 to bring a locally owned grocery store to Green River. I believe the store will strengthen our community’s economy. I would like to see bulk items in our store including herbs and spices.

My board term began September 2023. I am passionate about leading a healthy and active lifestyle, and serving on this board aligns perfectly with these values. By being a part of this food co-op, I have the opportunity to support local farmers, which is something I deeply care about. It allows me to contribute to and be a part of a community that prioritizes health, sustainability, and the local economy. Two things I’d love to see in the store are a variety of meat options and supplements.

I've been on the board since 2023. The reason I decided to serve on the board was to make a difference and to be a part of something amazing! I drive over 100 miles to shop for a variety of products that are healthy, organic, and for Whole Foods. I would love to support my community and buy the same products and foods locally in one spot. Plus, the idea of the community owning and participating in a store is exciting.
